On 22 September 2026, Sri Lanka and Indonesia entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Bilateral Consultations between the respective Foreign Ministries marking another important step in strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The MoU provided a framework for regular consultations and exchanges of views on matters of mutual interest, further deepening dialogue and cooperation between Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Together, Sri Lanka and Indonesia continue to build stronger bridges of friendship, understanding and cooperation.
